Alberta is VP of Design, Research and User Experience at Elsevier where she leads a global team who are reshaping the way academic and governmental institutions manage, create, access and share scientific knowledge.
An incorrigible nomad, Alberta was born and raised in Italy, has lived in California and now works in London. She focuses on the creation and delivery of future-friendly services and outcomes that are rooted in systemic understanding and deliver value. Alberta is driven by the opportunity to make a real impact on outcomes for people and organizations, and I specialize in transformation and complex change initiatives.
Prior to Elsevier, she has led design, transformation and experience teams at Sage, Vodafone, Lloyds, digital agencies in London and UCLA in California, and has a long track record of leading strategic projects for global brands.
Alberta has co-chaired the IA Summit in 2016 and EuroIA in Dublin in 2018, she continues serving on the board of both conferences. She is often speaking and lecturing around the world about design, systems, leadership, transformation and ethics, and is actively involved in the international design community.
When she’s looking to escape the world of transformation, Alberta plays ice hockey, lifts weights and tries to keep up with the crazy life of her teenage daughters
