Call For Proposals

We are looking for speakers with proven expertise and a strong capability to present on cutting edge software development methods. We expect the speakers to be committed to sharing innovative ideas and contributing to the growth of Agile and Lean mindset. To present at Agile India 2025, please submit your proposal before 1 December 2024 via our public proposal submission system.

Compensation for speakers

Agile India is organised by volunteers from Agile Software Community of India, a non-profit body founded in 2004 with a vision to evangelise new, better ways of building products & services that delight the users. We are not in a position to pay any speaker fees as the goal of the conference is to make it extremely affordable to everyone, and as organisers we just want to break even. However, as a conference, we are happy to help promote your work in any way we can, let us know how we can help.

The conference also donates a part of the revenue to NGOs in India nominated by the speakers.

As a speaker at the conference you will get:

  • Free full-access conference pass
  • Bragging rights that you presented at Agile India
  • Session recording to share with your network
  • Speaker shepherding – expert advice on your presentation

Compensation for travel costs:

Applies for speakers delivering sessions 45 mins or longer

  • Up to Rs.10,000 + 1 night’s accommodation in the conference hotel for domestic speakers
  • Up to US$1,000 + 2 night’s accommodation in the conference hotel for international speakers

Call for Proposals Timeline

  • Open Call for Proposals – 22 October 2024
  • Last Date to Submit Proposals – 1 December 2024 at 11:59pm IST
  • Acceptance Notification – 20 December 2024
  • Draft Program Published – 17 January 2025

  • Case-Studies (45 minutes)
  • Demos (20 or 45 minutes)
  • Experience Reports (20 minutes)
  • Tutorials (30, 45 or 90 minutes)
  • Hands-on Workshops (45, 90 or 480 mins minutes)

Review Process

We are looking for authentic and deep topics related to Agile Mindset, Design Innovation, Developer Experience, DevOps and Chaos Engineering. We are committed to diversity and believe in transparency. Hence, all proposals will be public. Registered user of the submission system will be able to comment on your proposal. You are required to reply to those comments to provide clarifications, explain revisions and respond to questions. The program team will look at how well you’ve responded to comments and updated your proposal to incorporate public suggestions. Ultimately the decision to accept a session resides with the program team.

Your proposal stands the best chance to be selected if it’s unique and has past presentation videos and slides. Make sure you fill in all the details given on the form to avoid back and forth with the program committee.

To encourage early submissions and iterative improvement of proposals, we start accepting proposals as soon as we find them a good fit. Since competition gets tougher with progressing time, it is advisable to avoid waiting until the last minute for proposal submission.

Conference Videos

All conference videos will be recorded and released freely under Creative Commons (CC) License on our YouTube Channel. The speaker owns the copyrights to the videos.
